The Wild Things Conference Returns Saturday, February 25, 2023!

We’re thrilled to welcome you again to learn and share your expertise with our community. We’ve put together an exciting lineup workshops and sessions from regional and national experts, plus meet & greets, video content, exhibitors, and sponsors. With dozens presentations and discussion panels to choose from, the in-person program engages a diverse range of topics, research, and skills, and plenty of opportunities to meet with friends, old and new. Beespotter (University of Illinois) data records the Bombus species throughout IL, IN, MO, OH. This data will be presented and compared with data from the Illinois History Survey Collection and several other historical data sets. With the Endangered Species listing of Bombus affinis and the concerning range
retraction of Bombus pensylvanicus, this is important information for land managers and concerned citizens. Identification tips for bumble bees and reporting techniques will also be presented.
